For Christmas, I got a very cute DIY Japanese candy called Popin' Cookin' ! There are many other kinds of Popin' Cookin' (Ice cream, Bento, Choco Neri etc.) but I picked the sushi one because it is my favorite. So in this blog I'm going to explain how this works. (Popin' Cookin' can be bought online, Little Tokyo, or the Japanese Market in Irvine.)
On the back of the box there's instructions but as you can see they're all in Japanese. Expecting most of you to not know how to read the language, there are also pictures to follow or even some tutorials on YouTube.
When you open the packet there are several different items. 6 mixes, a tray, a dropper, and a small spoon. The only thing you need to supply is water.
Following the instructions you should end up with this when you're done mixing all of the mixes in the designated compartments. (Recommend doing the sushi first so you can do everything else as it forms.)
When you're done with everything arrange the sushi as it is on the box and there you go ! A yummy treat that looks like sushi but tastes like candy !
Thanks for reading !
